About me
Born to Filipino immigrant parents—a CPA and a Registered Nurse—I learned early that true success comes through serving others. My father's journey from orphan to self-made man taught me that leadership isn't about titles; it's about transformation and impact.
From my roots in Chicago's Humboldt Park to my current home in Coronado, San Diego, every step of my journey has deepened my commitment to servant leadership. My academic path through the University of Illinois and Loyola University Chicago, culminating in an Executive MBA, laid the foundation for my career. But life's real lessons—including surviving a stroke—taught me that our greatest privilege is the opportunity to lift others as we climb.

My Pickleball PPR Certification allows me to inspire physical and mental recovery, especially meaningful to me as a stroke survivor.

Do I have to pay you to help me with Covered California?
No my services are completely free. As a licensed HealthMarkets agent, I’m paid by the insurance companies, not by you. My only goal is to help you find the best coverage at the lowest cost.
What if I already have health insurance through my employer?
If your employer’s plan costs more than 9.12% of your household income, you may qualify for financial help through Covered California. Many people don’t realize they can legally switch to a more affordable plan.
I’m self employed. Can I really save money with Covered California?
Yes! Many freelancers, real estate agents, and small business owners qualify for significant tax credits. On top of that, your premiums may be tax-deductible, making coverage even more affordable.
Are the doctors and hospitals the same as other insurance plans?
Yes. Covered California works with major insurance companies like Blue Shield, SHARP, Kaiser, and more. You can often keep your same doctors while lowering your monthly premium.
What happens if I don’t sign up during open enrollment?
